Hello.

I am very new here. I have looked for answers to this but could not find any. Sorry if I have missed anything obvious.

For my studies I am working on a project to allow remote monitoring of a remote wireless repeater. My aim is to monitor voltage, current from the solar cells, temperature, etc.

I have identified the RCM5700 as being ideal. Using the web server I can easily get the data on to the server. I already have a working internet connection at the site. I can see how all the web side works.

My problem is getting the analog signal (10-12V) and (0-20A) in to the system. I have seen a post about using either a MSP430 or a LTC1859 connected to an SPI connection but that sounds a little like chinese to me.

Can any one explain to me, in fairly simple language, how I go about this. I appreciate any and all help.

Greetings from the Bavarian Alps.
And thanks
Neill
