# AnywhereUSB/14 and Safenet Sentinel USB Dongles - application cant see usb

Has anyone had success with using AnywhereUSB/14 and Safenet Sentinel USB Dongles?

We have an application (called Insight) that uses a safenet license dongle.

When we install the application on a physical server and stick the USB key in it works fine, but when we install it on a VM and use the AnywhereUSB to connect, the USB safenet dongle appears in device manager and everything looks good but the applicaiton claims it can’t see the dongle.

Has anyone used the device successfully with these dongles? I have noticed posts about BSOD’s but we don’t get that problem, but the applicaiton just doesnt recognise the dongle when going through the AnywhereUSB

Safenet dongles had issues with Anywhere USB  
Try updating Safenet dongle drivers  
Also refer to the KBase article
