I have Windows XP running in VMware with AnywhereUSB drivers installed. I can connect a USB memory stick and access through AnywhereUSB in XP. Unfortunately, if I connect my iPod in disk mode to copy data off, the XP machine will go into a reboot loop (system reboots automatically, then reboots again when it reaches the login screen).
Any ideas on why I can access my iPod in disk mode?
Hello,
-
Briefly, what is disk mode?
-
Attach your iPod directly to a physical PC and download/run the AnywhereUSB check utility from the link below. Does it pass or fail?

- How do you resolve the reboot loop?
Hi Jeremy! Thanks for the quick response.

There are typically two ways to get data on the iPod, iTunes sync and disk mode. iTunes sync is the only way you can get music/video/iTunes data onto the iPod in a playable fashion. The other way you can use the iPod is as standard removable hard drive where you can copy anything to it through Windows Explorer.

To resolve the reboot loop, I just disconnected the iPod from the AnywhereUSB hub, and the XP machine will boot fine.
