CAN I CHANGE THE FRIMWARE USING ARDIUNO SHIELD? OR I MUST BUY A XBEE USB ADAPTER . OR ANY OTHER WAY PLEASE SUGGEST.

no u can’t change the frimware using ardiuno u need to buy xbee usb adapter

You need to purchase one that has all of the Required lines for firmware upgrades as outlined in the manuals. IE DI, DO, RTS, DTR, VCC and GND.
