# Configuring Portserver TS8 from vt100 to output to a static IP

Hi I’m a newb and need to know if this is possible.
I have a perimeter system outputting to a TS8 and TS16 to display boards, All display boards are 9 pin coonfiguration and receive vt100 input. I have 2 new display boards that have an RJ45 connections and only receive via IP’s. I can reserve static ip’s for the boards but my question is :
Is there a way to configure 2 serial ports on the TS8 to ouput signals via IP address and convert the serial output to IP output? If so How do I configure the ports ?
Any help in the right direction would be appreciated

If I understand your scenario correctly, you can forward all serial data over TCP using a specific IP address and/or port using the following syntax:
set port range=(port#) auto=on dest=(IP\_address) dport=(port#)

Actually I’m not trying to transport the serial signal via TCIP I want to know if the serial can be converted to TCP IP ?
