# Connection PortServer with Modem

Hello. I have DiGi PortServer TS8. I connect it with modem US Robotics by Cisco black cable. When i try to connect to portserver by dial-up, the connection is UP, but i not seen response from portserver on my hiperterminal. ☹ How to make this connection?

you need to set port server to hardware control and profile to modem i use the port server on tcpip and telnet to modem using connect 01 from command prompt  
in hyper terminal depending on cable you may need null modem adapter. I use 10 pin to db 9 and don’t need null adapter. If I connect pc to port then i use null modem adapter. Hope this helps
