Hello,

Firstly, I’m not quite sure if this is the right sub-category to post this in.

I am completely new to Xbee. I am planning on using Xbee in a high-powered model rocket that I am building to transmit GPS coordinates from the rocket to my computer. I would like the range to be more than enough (at least ~3 miles) so I was planning on putting an Xbee Pro 900 module in the rocket (which will be sending the data). Will my computer also need a Pro 900 to receive the data, or is it possible to use a different Xbee as the receiver? Thank you very much!
