# How to configure DIGI EZ 4 for Ovation 4.0 Scada Protocol

HI there.

I have the following questions regarding the configuration of a **DIGI EZ 4** within an **Ovation 4.0 communications DROP** using the **DNP3.0 Protocol Analyzer** :

1. **How are the communication ports of a DIGI EZ 4 configured within an Ovation 4.0 communications DROP when using the DNP3.0 Protocol Analyzer?**

2. **If TS MEI 4 is already installed and configured, and the communication ports are currently assigned and working, what considerations should be taken into account before adding a new DIGI EZ 4?**

3. **What happens when Digi Navigator is installed and used to assign communication ports to a new DIGI EZ 4 while ports are already defined in Ovation/TS MEI 4?**

4. **Can installing Digi Navigator or reassigning ports cause conflicts with existing port assignments in Ovation 4.0 or TS MEI 4?**

5. **What is the recommended procedure to avoid communication conflicts when adding or configuring a new DIGI EZ 4 in this environment?**
