How to make a portable project?

I would like to define a Dynamic C project file that is completely self contained, so that a new user could install Dynamic C, copy my project file and source files to whatever folder they have chosen as a working directory for their copy of the project, open the project in Dynamic C, and successfully build a BIN file.

The stumbling block to getting there, as far as I can tell, is the inability to define a LIB.DIR file that uses relative paths to the chosen working source folder. You can use absolute path definitions, and paths relative to the Dynamic C execution folder, but I don’t see a way to define paths relative to the folder in which the project file resides.

Has anyone found a way to make a portable project file? Perhaps using another mechanism in addition to the project file itself…
