I would like to perform a fast packet error rate test on a series 2 (ember) Xbee module. For this I need to make sure there are never any retries. If I use MAC Mode 1 (MM=1), does this prevent any retries in unicast, even at the MAC layer? I can capture the packets at the receiver to detect successful transmission.
The ZB or Ember version of the XBee product does not offer a Mac Mode function. It only offer a Stack profile function which does not keep retries from occurring.
