# Is commuication between two XBEE 868 Pro stanalone possible?Sending on IO change.

No, the XBee PRO 868 does not have the ability to perform an IO line pass. Like the other Mesh based Xbee modules you must use API mode and over the air commands to change the state of a remote DIO line.
