# Is there any possible way to suppress the " ... released a r/w session" messages in a serial connection?

The suppress connection announcements is already enabled (Digi Passport 48 with v1.5.0).

Yes, the can be suppressed through the web’s for CLI config:  
Serial port – Configuration – User access control – Suppress connection announcements = enable
