Is this old Edgeport/8 still ok?

Last week in the back of a cabinet I found an unopened Edgeport/8 that I’d like to use in a project. The box looks many years old and the unit is marked with PN:(1P)50001234-01 E and SN:(S)V33151869. The outside of the box has the same SN, but P/N:(1P)301-1002-08 L, along with the interesting gold sticker “USB Support for WIN 95, 98, 2000, CE, MAC, NT 4.0, and LINUX”. [:D]

Assuming I download the latest drivers, will this be OK to use in a Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise system?

The device may work but it is out of warraty…

The device should work just fine. When installing the latest drivers, it will automatically load the proper boot code for it to work (drivers contain image of boot firmware).
