# migratability to digiMesh in S2C

I have an application for Xbee S1 with 802.15.4 as firmware. I want to implement mesh topology in it. If I change the firmware to digimesh, I will have to restructure all the frames in the code. I want to know can we use Xbee S2C, or other module which can have the same frame structure as 802.15.4 and support the mesh protocol in the networking layer

The API interface was standardized after the Zigbee mesh was developed which was after the 802.15.4. So none of the other modules use the same API as the 802.15.4 does.
