# Password Reset

I have a customer using a controller we manufacture with the Connect ME with standard firmware. They changed the default password for the web interface and forgot it. Default is:

Username: root  
Password: dbps

However since they dont remember the new password they cannot get into the module to change network settings. Is there a way to reset this password without the development board? We do have a clear jumper on the board which resets the IP address of the module (flashes 1, 5, 1) but this does not appear to reset the password as well.

try reflashing the firmware ftp://ftp1.digi.com/support/images/connect/intkit/docs/Connect\_Mfg-DiagsMode.pdf
