# Re: XBEE communication

I have XBP24 and have only 2 choices. COORDINATOR or END DEVICE. what is the router choice ?

you can use end device as router.

The previous reply is incorrect.

If your modules are XBP24 (rather than XBP24-B), it means you have 802.15.4 modules, which is why there’s no router option. 802.15.4 is point-to-point or point-to-multipoint, but there are no routers, only coordintor and end node.

Because of this, I also branched off this reply into a seperate topic in the 802.15.4 forum.
