Hi, I am new to the world of PLC’s and have a couple of questions. Basically, I am not sure what system I need to purchase to acheive my goal so I think it best to describe what i want to do and maybe someone can suggest a solution.
I have a vehicle that is turbo charged so I thought it might be fun to create a readout of boost pressures at both the turbo housing and at the throttle butterfly, an air temp before and after the intercooler, an ambient air temp, an oil temp and water temp.
These numbers will probably be displayed on a simple 3.5 digits LED display (or whichever similar suits best), though i do have aspirations of using a 320x240 matrix lcd to display them, but this is for a later project.
The boost pressure will have an instant readout, an averaged readout (an optional 2, 4, 6second average), and maybe a % loss value readout.
The other items will have an instant (depending on the frequency of the gauges) readout also.
I would also like to log this data and then download it (via plug/USB/Bluetooth) for graphing/analysis on a PC. Obviously the size of this file will depend on the length of the trip and the update frequency of the gauges so i am not really sure what memory capacity i would need for 12 hours driving although being able to plug in a USB drive to download the data would be brilliant (or a Bluetooth connection to a phone).
Admittedly, this is not vital to the running of my vehicle, but its just something to do for fun.
If anyone has any advice on what will acheive these goals, i am all ears!
Thank you.
