# use xbee without microcontroller

Hello, I would like to know if its possible to use Xbee in API mode without using a microcontroller to create a point to multipoint connection, to use one as a master and the other one as the slave.

Sure, you can. The issue wold be which side is going to be in API mode. Your multi-point base or remote?
