Should the latest version of the driver for this (or similar) cards install itself as a service under Windows that I can create a “depends on” in the current control set in the registry?
I just tried it (using Update Driver in device manager, versus following the instructions in the README) and did not get DIGIFEP5 installed as a service.
My application (another service) can’t run unless the COM ports are available, and in the past I’ve always set up a dependency on DIGIFEP5, however, I don’t seem to have this service installed any more (especially if I use the Microsoft drivers, which are provided by Digi).
