I tried that, no luck…

Here are the series of commands I am sending via UART to the XBEE to match the coordinator:
entercommand[] = “+++”; //Enters AT Command Mode
resetcommand[] = “ATNR0”; // Network Reset
panid[] = “ATIDF8D1”; // Set PAN ID to F8D1
writecommand[] = “ATWR”; // Write PAN ID to non-volatile
sc\_id[] = “ATSC19”; // Set SC ID to 19 (channel E)
writecommand[] = “ATWR”; // Write SD ID to non-volatile
applychanges[] = “ATAC”; // Applies changes
exitcommand[] = “ATCN”; // Exit command mode

I also tried several variations of this (only doing the network reset or doing the network reset then writing the SC ID). After each command, is the XBEE supposed to continuously write ‘OK\r’? It seems to do it infinitely until the next command is received.

Yes the module will respond with an OK after each command issued.

You only need to issue one WR. That only needs to occur after the last command you want to issue and write to memory. Doing it more often only reduces the life of the module.

Try simply resetting everyone to defaults and then issue the network reset starting with the coordinator and moving down. I think you will have better luck.

I got it working. Here are the list of commands I issue during initialization. I’m not sure which one of these commands caused it to work but I will debug on the next uninitialized device. I suspect it was either the CE0 or SM1 command. Thank you for your help.
