I have been attempting to use [these](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/digi/XBP9B-DMWT-022/3728684?s=N4IgTCBcDaIBoCEAKBOBBaAIgWQOoBV0AGMCAXQF8g) Xbees to transfer data from a home made flight computer to a Pi Pico. Both are 3.3V devices. I have defaulted both Xbees with a Sparkfun explorer board but they just wont talk to each other. My wiring is Xbee RX to TX and Xbee TX to RX on each side. I have been able to confirm my code is not the problem. Just kind of stuck now, not sure what to do.

What is the exact part number of both XBee modules you are working with along with the firmware version installed on them?

Rocketmanandrew, Can you please provide the exact part number as listed on the white label of the two modules. It will be something like XBP9Bxxxx

Also please provide the exact firmware version number that is installed as it will make a difference on how the modules will react with the hardware you are working with.

Yes i believe so, i bought both at the same time so i’m assuming they should be the same. Firmware is 8075. Sorry about my confusion, i’m a little new to the Xbee world.

Try setting the SL and SH of one unit to the DL and DH of the other. Then on the remote, just connect VCC, GND, and DI to DO. Then connect them to your PC and try running a range test with the XCTU software. It should give you good packets.

If you do not use XCTU, then a simple terminal emulator will work. The key is that what you type in will be repeated back.
