# ZigBee end device point to point communication without coordinator

Hello everyone,

is it possible to establish a point to point communication between 2 zigbee devices without having a coordinator or a coordinator is always needed for that communication?  
Is there a way to have a communication between 2 zigbee end devices without coordinator and router?

A coordinator is always required to establish a Zibee network.

If you want to establish a simple point to point network, then I would suggest using the 802.15.4 protocol and firmware instead.
