AccelePort 8r 920-PCI - Which flavor of linux is best

I have tried till I am in blue in the face to get the drivers for the AccelePort 8r 920-PCI to install in the current version of Ubuntu (11.10). The driver installation insists that the Linux kernel headers are not installed, but they are.

I tried Arch Linux, too confusing just to install.

I am currently downloading 10.04 LTS.

This is for a 8 port hylaxfax server if anyone has any tips or tricks.

I was wondering what platform works the easiest to install.

Thanks

No one distribution stands out as they all will need the matching kernel headers and sources installed. The packages installed is primarily determined by what is selected when Linux is installed (i.e. Desktop, Server, Development, etc…).
