Can't Read from Port D on BL1800 - Serial Communication problem

I can’t seem to read serial data from Port D on my BL1800 single-Board Computer, but I can send serial Data through Port D successfully. Every time it reads Port D for serial data, it returns with all zeros when I verified that there are data in the input buffer to read other than zeros.

Please, help. All this worked before and now it doesn’t.

The schematic shows that RS232 signals are only available on Ports B and C
