Green LED Blinking 12 Times

I just received my DigiConnect ME and thus far I am having no luck.
I wired up power to the unit and connected itn to my Linksys router.
The router assigned an IP address to the ME but the discovery software was unable to see the device.
The PC I am using has no firewall protection on it.
I was able to ping the device but that’s about it.

I power cycled the device and now I lost the anber LED and the green LED blinks rapidly 12 times.

I’m guessing the device is fried.

Any clues as to what is going on here?

OK I was wrong about the 12 times blinking.
Now it just blinks continuously (no amber light though).
