How I can measure the LQI parameter in Xbee series one?

I would like to read both values, RSSI and LQI in xbee series 1. How can I do that?

LQI is not an 802.15.4 function. It is a Zigbee command function which does not exist in an 802.15.4 compliant device such as the XBee S1.
