How many source routes can the ConnectPort X4 save?

We have a ConnectPort X4 gateway running a large Zigbee network. We have used the AR setting to enable many-to-one routing (as per http://www.digi.com/wiki/developer/index.php/Large_ZigBee_Networks_and_Source_Routing), and the X4 seems to source route packets as expected.

But there is presumably a limit to the number of source routes that the X4 can store at one time? Anyone know what that limit is? Does it depend on the number of hops in each route?

there certainly is an upper limit. But I think the zigbee network will be brought to it’s knees from excess traffic before the X4 runs out of memory from too much nodes. I think the network is going to be the limiting factor.

the size of a network depends on a lot of things. Here are just a few: number of nodes, how much data they send and how frequently, enviornmental factors.
