RCM4400W 802.11b actual data rate?

I want to use the RCM4400W 802.11b module to add a high speed wi-fi interface to another processor via a parallel port.

It says the user guide that the UBEC UW2453 chip can transmit at 11Mbps; but it also says that it is connected via Serial Port B and I believe the serial ports can only clock to about 7.3MHz.

Looking at the schematic, the FPGA connected to the 802.11 chip seems to be attached to the data and address bus and not to the serial port B but I am not sure.

What is the actual data throughput of the 802.11b connection to the Rabbit 4000 processor onboard the module?

Hi,
I would expect the data rate to be 11 MBit/sec, following the 802.11 b standard. I don’t have any data to prove that.

I don’t see serial port B associated with the WiFi hardware in any way.
