Run Dia on PC with USB XBIB board?

Is it possible to run Dia on a PC with an XBIB board connected to the PC’s USB and have this configuration communicate with a remote XBIB board?

They give a link to an implementation of the zigbee module that should work on a PC, offering the same interface as the one on the gateway. Nobody came back mentioning success or failure running the Dia with it, but it seems like it would be worth trying.
