Has anyone implemented the web pages to run on the PC while controlling the rabbit, in other words not loading the html/zhtml onto the board.
Will it work the same way as any other “web server” and pass it variable via the TCP connection?

You should read the documetation about RabbitWeb. It explains everything. The short answer is yes.
