I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with the difference in overall system performance on system with 16bit wide ram vs 32bit wide ram. We have an older system that uses a net50 with 32bit wide EDO ram, and a new system that runs the 7520 with 16bit wide SDRAM and even though the 7520 is running at 55mhz vs the 33 we were running the net50 at, it seems that the old design has better performance? Is there that drastic of a difference with a 32 bit interface vs a 16 bit interface? Has anyone ever done any tests to compare 16 vs 32 bit performance differences? Any info would be a great help.
