6UL Express: MCA Power-on features

Dear colleagues,

We have some additional question related to topic we described in the previous message (see post: https://forums.digi.com/76545/6ul-express-issue-with-power-on-%26-linux-start)

We have the 6UL module in our design and would like to use the power-On button as a button which will be used only to power-on the module, in addition to existing sleep/wake-up features.
We understand that such functionality is not available for the moment, but would it be possible to change the MCA functionality a little bit in order to modify the power-on scenario?

Our idea about modifying MCA code is the following:

  • We think that it’s possible to prevent loading Linux after the very first power-on event
  • When the module CC-WMX-JN58-NE is powered first time it doesn’t load Linux, instead it will react only if Power-On button is pressed

Would it be possible to get the source code of the MCA controller and CC-WMX-JN58-NE module electrical schematics for further modification?

We’re ready to sign a NDA if required and return to you a modified version of the code, after such functionality is implemented and tested.

We’re not planning to redistribute or sell any piece of code or schematics mentioned above.

Sincerely yours,
Gennady Zubkov
