Am I able to perform tree topology using Xbee?

Hello every one
I am using Xbee S2c in AT mode

I did the range test (RSSI) using XCTU for point to point communication. Now I want to test the RSSI again using tree topology (Coordinator <-> Router <-> End).

also need to test affect of multi hop to throughput(I can do it using XCTU).

So my question is how can i force the data to pass thru the router from End to Coordinator and vice versa?

I tried to make the NJ (node join) of the coordinator equal to 1 minute so in this minute I power on router then after this minute elapsed I powered the End. I think doing this will make the router is parent of the end and all the data goes thru the router. but when I did the range test(which is in XCTU tools menu) there is no change in the RSSI when I change it’s place!

please help

Yes that will do what you want.

No, there is no change in the RSSI simply because you are still receiving the data from the router. The RSSI function does not have the ability to provide you with that information for each hop. Only for the last hop.

May I ask on how did you configure the xbees to run in a cluster tree topology?
