I’m creating a network with several hundred analog adapters. I have added about 45 nodes without issue, but am now having trouble adding more nodes.
When I try to associate them with the network (using the 4 button press) I can see them in the ConnectPort but can’t access the settings pages (It says “Settings are not configurable for this device.”).
All the devices are currently set to routers rather than end points and I’m wondering if we have to many routers on the network.
I’d like to try switching most of the Analog IO Adapters to end points, but I can’t update the firmware using XCTU because the Analog Adapters disable serial. I also tried to update an analog adapter remotely using the Connectport but the update failed.
Is it possible to turn an Analog IO adapter into an end point?
hi, In this case you should support digi support.
In the ZigBee networks practically more than 50 routers to the coordinator can not be connected.

Hi Jeremy,
it is possible without problem to have over 100 routers in one network, BUT you will need to switch to Many-to-One routing. Please consult the product manual and read carefully about this. Or, as suggested, contact technical support.
If you are going to switch to sleeping end devices please be aware that avery end device needs a “parent” which is always awake (and therefor needs to be a router). Due to memory constraints there is a maximum to the number of sleeping end devices per parent/router. For the XBee Series 2 type of devices this maximum is 12 per router.
You need to take this into account when laying out your network.
This is all very well explained in the manual, but it needs careful reading as some things are not so obvious the first time you read about them.
Digi tech support should be able to help you.
