Can I remove JTAG port from my custom board installing cc6ul without wireless?

Hi Guys,

We are developing my custom board using the cc6ul module which doesn’t have a wireless chip internally.
I need maximum UARTs and GPIO so want to remove JTAG and SWD etc.
Does the module have a default boot image already as a factory default mode?
Or should I need to download any boot image after purchasing it?

yes, the module comes with u-boot preprogrammed. As long as your design uses the same UART as dev board, you should be fine. Digi strongly recommends having USB OTG port available in your design for recovery purposes.
