Hello.
I have a trouble to install ClassicBoard in Windows XP. XP freezes everytime I enable the COM ports that are created on the ClassicBoard.
I use a driver downloaded from digi web-site (Version 8.1.22.0, 11/06/2007, 40002544_C). The XP is Service Pack 2. Our PC system is Dell Precision 390.
If anyone knows anything about this kind of symptom, would you let me know any solutions or hints? Thank you!!
Anytime an OS or computer “freezes”, a hardware-level issue is suspect. Bearing that in mind, here are a couple articles that might help get this up and running:
You are already using the current driver, so that’s a good thing. I have a feeling your Classic PCI card is in conflict with some other resource on your XP machine, so when that’s resolved this should work fine. If not, you’ll want to open a support ticket so the issue can be investigated in more detail.
