Device Limit - Has it Changed?

In Digi Remote Manager, my account has hit the device limit. I support a customer with ~50 modems, and I manage the DRM account. I mainly use the API to pull the cell reception strength/signal data for a website I host and support for the customer. I registered about 29 devices; the 30th device threw an error along the lines of “You are trying to add 30 devices” and a device limit. It has since thrown a different error which now says “Error reading device entity”, followed by the device ID.

Clearly there is a device limit. Was this always present? How am I at 29/24 devices? I contacted Digi support because I cannot change the device limit field. If anyone knows any workarounds without having to register another email to create a new device account, I would greatly appreciate the help. TIA

(sorry for the image quality, I had to combine two screenshots because new members can only attach one image)

Yes, Digi Remote manager accounts do have device limits pertaining to the kind of account you have purchased. In your case, your limit was 24 devices. To resolve this, you will need to either contact your Digi Account manager or local Authorized distributor/reseller and to purchase additional license for your Digi Remote Manager account.

I have 46x Digi 360 licenses, I would think that would give me a limit of 46, not 24.

If you are not the Primary account, then you may have a device limit on your specific DRM account.

@smorelli , yes please open a Support case with Digi Technical Support so we can look into this further for you. You’re absolutely correct that the Digi360 device subscriptions would not be counted against your Device Limit, which is likely how your Device Count is exceeding your Limit as described, but the only way we can understand the error message you’re seeing is to audit the account/devices found there. Please contact us and we can continue the investigation.
