I have the following issue: I configured IPsec tunnel between Digi WR44 and FortiGate firewall. The tunnel works fine for a while, but after some time it drops and the Digi WR44 does not even attempt to re-establish the connection automatically. It only comes back if I manually reboot the device.
I suspect this might be related to the following feature/setting: Go out of service if automatic establishment fails
Unfortunately, the documentation is not very clear about what this option actually does, and since this is a production system I don’t want to toggle it blindly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with Digi WR44? Could this feature be the reason why the tunnel is not re-establishing itself?

Additionally, I think you’ll want to look into enabling the Surelink feature on your product (after updating to latest/last OS firmware version, since the productline is EOL and OS development is at an end. Having the latest will at least update your WR44 to the last release at the end of life for the product.
