Does the AnywhereUSB/2 run as a background service in Windows like the 5 port device does?

We have a touchscreen running a remote desktop VM in kiosk mode from a dedicated server, and I was wondering if the AnywhereUSB/2 runs as a background service in Windows in the same way that the AnywhereUSB/5 does.

Only when you run the AUSB config utility and connect the device until you disconnect AUSB from the host machine
