epca driver for solarisexpress

I have driver 40000957_p.bin which works fine on solaris 10 11/06.

I have tried to install this on solarisExpress and this does not give options to install PCI version.

At the “Configuring adapter 1.” prompt, I get:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Adapters supported:
ISA Adapters
0) AccelePort Xr ISA
1) AccelePort Xem ISA
2) AccelePort C/X ISA
3) AccelePort EPC/X ISA
EISA Adapters
4) AccelePort Xem EISA
5) AccelePort C/X EISA
6) AccelePort EPC/X EISA
Micro Channel Adapters
7) AccelePort Xem MC
8) AccelePort C/X MC
9) AccelePort EPC/X MC
What type is adapter 1?

I have a PCI adapter and in solaris 10 it gives the further options of:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
PCI Adapters
10) AccelePort Xr PCI
11) AccelePort Xem PCI
12) AccelePort C/X PCI
13) AccelePort EPC/X PCI

please advise.

Kind regards,
Philip

You will want to use the latest driver candidate for Solaris 10:

ftp://ftp1.digi.com/support/beta/solaris/epca_intel-sparc.pkg

Be sure to “pkgrm” the current driver prior to installing the new version.

Thanks for response.

Unfortunatley, installation fails with:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Found Arch i386 and platform of i386
no response file supplied
pkgadd: ERROR: postinstall script did not complete successfully

Installation of failed.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I am running Solaris Express Developers Edition 02/07

Thanks again for your help,

Philip

It appears that the Digi drivers do not support Solaris Express:

“This software is incompatible with the OS version.”

If you would like to pursue driver support for this O.S. version, I recommend contacting Digi Technical support directly.

Thanks.

Have done this.

Just a note: I have the Accelleport Xem PCI - Ports/16em

Digi support has been EXCELLENT and their engineer wrote up a new driver to get equipment working.

Driver is available at:
