For s single Digi EZ Connect Mini do you need two ethernet interfaces on for Serial port and one of web console?

For each Digi, I am wondering if there should be one IP for the Web interface and a second IP configured to handle the serial traffic that is converted to IP.

Scratch this. Only need the one interface. Also Discovered great tip: that Digi Navigator run from server that is accessing the digi is the best way to add the interface on the server. At the same time it asks you where the Digi is with credentials and sets it up un the Digi. We did it for realport.

Hi @NanookFAS . It sounds like you figured out the answer to your question, i.e. the Digi Connect EZ Mini only has a single physical Ethernet interface. It is through the IP address given to the ETH interface of the device that you can connect to the serial port, for instance if the Digi Connect EZ Mini is configured for a Serial Mode of Realport, Remote Access, etc.

I did figure it out. I’m not hands-on with a device I’ve been working with people on the data center so… It looks like I can use both the serial connection in the web interface for that IP. Both digi’s I have been configured and are functioning properly both on the client and server side. Thank you for reply!
