is it possible to change xbee cellular APN?

I’ve tried to change the APN as follow (copy/paste from hyperterminal):

atan
vzwinternet
atan m2mbis.vodafone.it
OK
atan m2mbis.vodafone.it
OK
atan
vzwinternet

the only APN possible is vzwinternet. Is it possible to change it?
Does it work only with verizon?

Changing AN is a bit problematic right now. There’s some special instructions in the manual at:

To summarize, after doing the AN command, it is necessary to reset the network right away using ATNR. Also, I see that you’ve got a space before the APN. I don’t think that will work.

Additional notes, you are trying to use a provider other than Verizon US. The module is only Certified on Verizon in the United States. Support for other countries or providers has not been added to the modules firmware. Nor has it been certified to function on any other networks yet.
