Hello everyone, I was trying to line pass and send two different numerical values thru the uart. When i do this however, my numerical values go out of wack. I am trying to display these values on a screen. Without the added line passing it shows accurately, but when I also use the line passing simple digital signals on/off, it fails. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try to do??
Hello Frank,
I am not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish. What is line passing? Are you trying to mirror digital signals across a wireless network? Are you sending discrete byte values over a pair of XBees?
How do you have the XBees configured? Could you speak more about what your application is?

Hello Jordan:
I tink that he´s talking about the topic in the Xbee Serie 1 manual that says that “Virtual wires can be set up between XBee Modules. When an RF data packet is received that contains I/O data, the receiving module can be setup to update any enabled outputs(PWM and DIO) based on the data it receives.”. I would like to ask if there´s a way to do this with the ZNet Series 2 modules?
ZNet and ZB firmware (on series 2) do not yet have the ability to do this.
Does anyone know if there is new firmware that enables what was refer above as “line passing” or “virtual wires” between two XBee Pro series 2?
Thanks.

It’s mid 2012 and yet no firmware that supports line passing in ZNET devices. What a shame. I bought 18 units of these for my projects because of line passing feature and now I don’t know what to do with them… probably burn them to hell, or wait until a capable firmware appears. (i cannot wait as my project already failed due to this)
The term ‘yet’ is misleading here.
I have never heard of any plan to support ‘line passing’ on the XBee Series 2, which is the ZigBee line.
