Linux and Rabbit 4000

I use a rabbit RCM4200 to work. Can I use linux on rabbit? Can you help me?

No, not really. Linux has far too much 32 bit native addressing coded into it, and would need massive amounts of work to squeeze it into the essentially 8-bit (sort of) architecture of the Rabbit. No silicon to provide protected address spaces for kernel etc etc.

If you really want an embedded linux type solution, try looking at the ARM processors. The Linksys NSLU2 “slug-ifed” is a good small learning unit, and run’s linux just fine. DB
