Modbus TCP to Modbus Ascii - S.O.S

Hi,
I’m trying to connect Cimplicity scada to an Alber uint.
The alber Unit has an RS232 port working on modbus ascii protocol.
The Cimplicity scada dose not have the modbus ascii protocol. It dose work with the Modbus TCP protocol.
All the data is to be pooled from the Alber and displayed via the Cimplicity. I need to configure the Digi IA to work on it’s RS232 port in modbus ascii and on the ethernet port with Modbus TCP.
I have tryed to configure as discribed in attached “Polling ASCII Devices as Modbus Slaves.pdf” .
The explanation refers to working with the Web Wizard Release E.
I’m not shure if this is the release I have…
How do I check?
The described windows are different from what I’m seeing in my web wizard.

Any inputs…?
Please Help.

Thanks in advance.
Itamar Regev.

Actually, your task is easier than you think. Your slave is “Modbus”, not ASCII (meaning non-Modbus). The DOIA doesn’t even support the custom-protocol required for non-Modbus.

Just run through the DOIA’s Industrial Automation wizard, configure your incoming Modbus/TCP master (or message source), then configure your Modbus serial as destination (which happens to be Modbus/ASCII - but not pure ASCII)
