Multiple Synchronized Data Streams Challenge

Requirement:

(6) Transmitting Sensors with 64 kbps data

Short Range = 100 feet maximum

Want to receive the (6) data streams in “real time” and aligned as close as possible (e.g. < 500 usec. difference maximum) and with lowest delay through the system.

Questions:

Does this call for (6) receivers on separate dedicated channels vs. other topologies?

What are the issues with running (6) radio links in the same area?

Suggested Digi radios?

Yes that will as you are exceeding the throughput capabilities of an 802.15.4 XBee module with 2 or more transmitters.

Yes you would want to have each pair on a different channel is possible.

I would look at the XBee S2C 802.15.4 modules and development kit. https://www.digi.com/products/xbee-rf-solutions/2-4-ghz-modules/xbee-802-15-4
