I have a PortServer TS 4 which I need to dailout to a server.How can I go about this?
I have realport already configured on my XP system and TS4 is already asigned with IP.The device manager shows Multiport serial adapters>Digi port server>Device name>Comm port.
Should I connect the modem to TS4 or just plug-in the analog line directly to the port3 of TS(which is configured as Rp) ?
What additional configuration needs tobe made?

The TS 4 products have 4 serial ports with rj45 connectors. If you have this product, then you will have to connect a modem to one of the serial ports with a “modem” or straight through cable.
The TS 4 M (the M stands for Modem), has 3 serial port with rj45 connectors and port #1 is has an internal modem behind it. If you have the M version you can connect your analog phone line’s rj11 cable directly to port 1. If have the M version, be sure you have the modem “driver” installed fromt eh root directory of the CD.
