pullup resistors on BE0-BE3

One of the application schematics for the NET+50 has 2.4k pullup resistors on the 4 signals BE0-BE3. Does anyone know why these resistors were used? Are they needed on the NS7520? And finally, is the value of these resistors important? Thanks in advance.

As far as I can see (checked the errata 90000283F and minimal HW config) for the NET+50 and far as I can see these pull-ups are not specifically required on that device… so probably are not on the NS7520 either… I suspect that designer was worried about them being in a known state at reset… The design didn’t use the signals for bus buffering control did it?
