Hi,
I’m trying to make a DAQ system and i want to transfer data to a PC using the RCM3720. This DAQ uses high speed FIFO memories to handle the 200Msps ADC. My problem is the big “bottlenetck” of the TCP conection untill now i was able to achieve a 20KBytes/s Transfer rate. So it will take a long time to empty my FIFO memory. Can anyone tell me if this is the kind of performance to expect from this rabbit module ? any advice ?
A good part of this is that the RCM3720 is one of our lowest cost cores, and an older design. It only runs the Rabbit 3000 processor at 22Mhz. You may want to look at our new MiniCore RCM5700, which has a Rabbit 5000 processor running at 50Mhz. Right now you can get the Std dev kit for only $49. This processor is easily twice as fast, and has a more highly integrated ethernet subsystem.
