Rockwell and RSLinx support

In general, RSLinx is happy to support all Digi Terminal and Device Server products with RealPort. This means you install a Windows “serial driver” that links the remote Digi port via Ethernet but makes it appear as a real local serial port. RSLinx is setup to use this Digi serial port as just another DF1 serial port. You can even use RSLinx’s “Auto-config” button to detect remote baud rate and settings.

This will work with Digi products such as Digi One SP, Digi One IA, Digi One IAP, TS1, TS2, TS4, TS8, and TS16.

Because pure DF1 is being handled, this would with all Rockwell PLC with DF1 support including MicroLogix, SLC5, PLC3, PLC5, ControlLogix, and CompactLogix.

DH485 will NOT work via RealPort as the token timing is to tight to survive Ethernet transport.
